Cadwallader letters, 1875-1875.

Two letters, from John B. Allen and John Wasson in Tucson, to S. Cadwallader in Wisconsin about the prospects in Tucson and the business economics of the Arizona Citizen newspaper. Wasson has put the Citizen up for sale and Allen writes about Tucson's potential. The letters are dated March 15, 1875 and March 9, 1875 respectively.

John B. Allen was a merchant, rancher, Tucson mayor, and territorial legislator. John Wasson was Surveyor General of Arizona Territory, editor and publisher of the Arizona Citizen newspaper from 1870 to 1875, and a commissioner to the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876.
